Once upon a time many,many years ago,because of sin God had to destroy the world. He chose to do so with a worldwide flood.All of the earths human population,with the exception of one man and his family was destroyed in this flood.God forewarned Noah and told him to build an ark.He gave Noah exact instructions on how to build the Ark,which is simply a big ship.
God instructed Noah to bring the animals aboard in pairs,male and female in order to replenish the world with animals after the flood was over.God also instructed Noah to bring in the fowls of the air by sevens and of everything that creepeth upon the earth! God told Noah to bring seven of every animal for food and for sacrifice.
Of all that God had created only that which lived in the water was not brought aboard the Ark.All that creepeth upon the earth included the many insects of the earth.The flood lasted for forty days and forty nights and covered the whole earth.Gen.7:14 says " They,(Noah and his family consisting of his wife,three sons and three daughters-in-law) and every beast after its kind,and all the cattle after their kind,and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after its kind,and every fowl after its kind,every bird of every sort.
Just as Noah's Ark was a place of safety for all of God's creation,it is a type of Jesus Christ and the safety which He offers when one receives Him as their Lord and Savior.As the Ark was the only way to safety in Noah's day,so is Jesus today,He is the Way,the Truth and the Life no other way is provided by God,Jesus and Jesus alone.I accepted Him as my Savior at the age of 11 yrs. old and He has never left me and at age 73 I am still as saved as I was when I was first saved.It is a forever,eternal,everlasting deal and cannot be changed even by God Himself.

My Church,Calvary Baptist is bigger than some,and at the same time smaller than others.
Calvary a place which I lovingly call home,consists of both Fathers and Mothers.
Along with a Father and Mother comes a kid,ranging in age from birth to teen.
Calvary's Kids all blessed with talent not hid,working tirelessly for Jesus with gifts so keen.
Without hesitation when asked they do,never asking for either rhyme or reason.
For Jesus they are always willing to go,being both instant in and out of season.
Singers and musicians and soon to be teachers,knowing their Savior's Grace will suffice.
Maybe within Calvary's Kids a few preachers,and some even destined for high office.
What makes Calvary's Kids so very special, is not who they are,but to whom they belong.
Children of the King,which Jesus made official,when He saved, sealed and placed in their heart a new song.
